The Unified UAN portal is now live. The members can now easily download their UAN Passbook from this portal. As it is known that PF is a mandatory saving it therefore becomes all the way more important to manage the same. This is the reason why passbook of UAN was introduced. It is a record of all the PF related transactions such as withdrawals, transfers and deposits.

How to download the UAN Passbook

The process to download the UAN passbook is very easy. Follow the below mentioned steps to find out how one can download this:

Check EPF Claim Status Online

  • You can download the UAN passbook by logging on to the EPF website. Go to – https://epfindia.gov.in/
  • You can now click on “Our Services” and then on “For Employees”
  • Under the services label you will be able to see link “Member Passbook”. Click on it.
  • You will be redirected to another page where you would need to punch in your UAN and password.
  • After logging in successfully, you would now be able to “view passbook” under the label which you need to hit and then your UAN passbook would be displayed.
  • You can download your passbook by clicking on the “Download Button”

Please note

  • The facility to see the Member Passbook is available to those who are registered on the Member Portal. In case the member has newly registered themselves on the member portal then their passbook will be displayed next day.
  • Likewise, changes in the password also would be effective next day on this service.
  • The entries which are reconciled with EPFO will be shown in the UAN passbook.
  • In case members are unable to login or if they have any query pertaining to EPF passbook they can reach out to the EPF helpdesk on “1800 1180 0” during their operational hours – 9:15 AM to 5:45 PM.

You would need to punch in your User Name, Password, Captch code and login.

  • The facility of viewing the member passbook is available to the members registered on this Unified member portal.
  • This passbook will start reflecting almost 6 hours after registration on this member portal.
  1. Changes in the credentials at Unified Member Portal will be effective at this Portal after a period of 6 Hours.
  2. UAN Passbook facility is not offered to the inoperative PF accounts

What could be the reasons of not being able to download the UAN passbook?

Some of the reasons members are not able to check out their UAN passbook are as under:

  • If the members have just registered themselves on the portal, they will not be able to download their passbook until the next day of their registration.
  • If the members have edited their credentials, they will not be able to download their passbook until the next day.
  • If the employer has not uploaded the E-Challan on the EPF portal yet.
  • There could be certain technical issues on the EPF website which could limit them to download their passbook. The members can try again few more times later. Besides, server downtime is also one of reasons and members don’t get through to the website.
  • At times, the website works slowly due to traffic on the site during the peak hours. The time between morning 10 am to evening 4 pm are peak hours so try at some other time leaving these timings.
  • The members may need to wait for 4 days after submitting their request. They can also contact the UAN helpline in case they are unable still to download the passbook even after 4 days.
